What is
ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA Therapy) is a scientific approach that systematically applies techniques and strategies to improve or change socially significant behavior. ABA focuses on understanding how behavior works, how we learn, and how our behaviors are affected by our environment.
What to Expect in our ABA program...
Although ABA started off years ago as a one size fits all model, Autism 360™ has developed a person directed ABA approach with a variety of styles and variations. Just as no two children with autism are the same, no two treatment approaches should be either. At Autism 360™, our purpose is to improve the delivery of services for children with autism, every day, in everything we do. We are proud to be a pioneer in the collaborative, integrated approach to services for children with autism - linking therapists, physicians, schools, psychologists and more together for a wrap-around 360 care approach.
Our team of licensed professionals will work with your family to develop an ABA program unique to your child. The process will begin with:
-
An Initial Assessment
-
Comprehensive Evaluation
-
Collaborative Program Development
-
Training and Implementation
-
Regular Monitoring & Progress Updates
-
Coordination of Care with Additional Providers if needed
-
Parent & Family Training
-
Program revision as needed to ensure goals are always geared toward your child's greatest needs.
-
The team can also assist with recommendations for additional services. Autism 360™ offers a full array of pediatric services (based on therapist availability). We can also coordinate communication with any alternate therapy professionals you are currently using.
Below are just a few of the reward-based approaches we utilize in our ABA training programs.
Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
This is a structured approach where a task is broken down into single steps that are gradually introduced until the task can be completed in its entirety. Sometimes breaking down something complex can significantly improve our ability to learn.
PREP 360™
Autism 360’s™ classroom readiness program, PREP360 utilizes a comprehensive research-based curriculum that features inquiry, exploration, and discovery as the foundation of all learning. Our curriculum aligns with NC Common Core Standards. Prep 360™ offers a classroom readiness program for learners ages 2.5-6.5 years Monday through Friday from 8am-2pm.
Incidental Training
Teaches life skills in real-life environments and can be conducted in a variety of settings. Progress isn't progress if it doesn't transfer to "everyday" tasks such as grocery shopping and mealtime. This technique helps build successful associations between daily activities and positive behaviors.
Pivotal Response Treatment
Focuses on teaching pivotal social skills like sitting still, playing nicely, speaking quietly, and more. This is a play based session where the child takes the lead and directs the interaction with guidance from a Registered Behavior Technician.
Communication
Autism 360™ recognizes being a parent is not an easy job even under the best circumstances. It is often more challenging to be a parent of a child with a ASD striving to reach developmental milestones. Our greatest goal is to keep our parents informed about their child's progress. A360™ utilizes an app to regularly update parents.
Functional Living Skills
Our approach focuses on the whole child, not just a diagnosis. We extend learning to include basic living skills such as toilet training, dressing, grooming, and more.
What Makes Our Program Different?
At Autism 360™, we pride ourselves in offering premier ABA services in community/home and clinic based settings. All of our technicians maintain a national certification as a Registered Behavior Technician and are directly supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Qualified Autism Services Professional.
Our Coordination of Care approach helps you navigate the challenges of ASD and
celebrate the milestones of success!
